Online Relationships

Ok I have been asked a few times what I thought of Online Relationships. Since i met my husband online i guess i think they are good lol It depends though on how you look at things too. Tom and I knew each other for a year on here before we went into "relationship status" but we had never met. when we did go into relationship status we met with in a month.
I believe that if you are going to have an online relationship that you hope to make it into a real one that you should meet with in the first month or two if you can. You may hit it off on here but you might not have that same chemistry in person so why waste your time and their time on something that is not meant to be. Then you can focus your relationship as just friends. Life is too short not to be happy.
Some people say it is stupid that you can not love someone from just talking to them on here for a month. I believe you can. If you think about it this has been happening for over 100 years and works out sometimes and doesnt other times. Before the internet came around there was the pen pals. The only diff is that with pen pals it tooks years sometimes to fall in love and that is b/c of snail mail. Sometimes it took a year to get to know the person with the letters. You might only get 1 letter a month. Now the same amount of corespondants is done with in a month or two depending on how much you talk to the person. Just think if you told someone over a hundred years ago that you will be able to fly from one end of the country to the other in day they would look at you like you were nuts. It is the same with relationships. Everything has to modernize ( not sure if that is the right word or not lol) I know it is not the same but you get my point.
Anyway i am not sure if that made any sense or just babbling but all i know is i am working on my 2nd year being married and we are still as much in love as we were when we first met if not more. I know a few more that have been married longer than me and are just as happy too. I also know some that did not even make a year but i know a lot of them that met in real life too and not together after a year. So if you think it is for you then go for it and if you dont then that is ok too.
Just remember that do not rely on dating sites as your only way to meet people on here. Tom and I met on a gaming site that we were both in the same league. If i would of seen his profile on a dating site i would of not even looked at it b/c it is was diff than what i thought i was looking for. So make sure you dont turn someone away just b/c they are not your "ideal" mate.

SINCE IT SEEMS ALL MY PROFILE IS UPDATES AND HARD TO READ I AM PUTTING THE OLD IN HERE AND JUST THE NEW ON MY PROFILE
Well it is coming up 4 years that I have been on VR. It has gone by so fast. I have learned a lot and still learning. I have made a lot of great friends on here and look forward to many more years. It has grown so much since I first joined. It is getting to a big site. I think there is over 100 Sires now and more coming up so fast. I was the 10th Sire on VR which seems so long ago now lol

It has been just about 5 years now. Since i have been on a break from here things have changed so much, some for the good and some not. Depends on how you look at things.
My life has changed so much in the past 3 years. When I started on VR I lived in Canada in a small town on Vancouver Island British Columbia. Now I live in Denver Colorado. I love it here and met some really cool people here. We spend a lot of time riding bikes and doing poker runs for charity.

I now live in Michigan and will be married for 1 year in June 2010. I cant believe how fast the time has gone. I miss all my friends in Colorado but we still keep in touch and hope to go visit soon.
WORKING
I am a Chef by trade and love cooking. I have had my own restaurant called La Rose Noir Café…hehe I know the same name as My Coven. Right now I am taking a hiatus from work. I work in a biker bar as a bartender and cook but the kitchen is closed till January or February for renovations.

Well as you know i am not in Colorado anymore so i am not working at the bar anymore but i still keep in touch with everyone there. I am not working right now and not sure when i will go back. My hubby likes the idea of me not working so when he gets time off we can up and go do things without having to worry about getting time off. hehe and i am not complaining it is kind of nice to be spoiled for a change and just have some take care of you.

We are not only together but will be married for a year coming up in June 2010. I cant believe how fast it has gone. I am a very lucky lady to have met such a special man. He loves me for who i am and does not judge me on anything. He know all my faults and all my past and still loves me with all his heart. I feel the same of him too. I have never been so spoiled before in my life. He says i should be treated like a queen and be spoiled every day to show how much he loves me. We live on 5 acres on a lake and it is the most beautiful place ever. We spent our summer out on the boat. This year we are going to buy a tube so when my daughter comes ups we can go tubing. We are going to get a jet ski too so we can have some fun with it. The winter it was so nice up here....besides the cold lol but the snow did look pretty. We did a lot of traveling around since i am new to the area and was too cold to do much else. I did learn how to ice fish lol i will have some pics up soon.
I will say though that dont depend on dating sites to find your match all the time. I am not saying dont work but for me i would of not found my new hubby with it.
We are like night and day on a few things and would of never came up in a match at all. I am wiccan/goth and he is an outdoorsman and kind of redneck/cowboy but he wont admit that lol
